Click here to get more details about the MC Lyte $100,000 First Wave Scholarship, which provides full tuition to one student for a 4-year degree that embraces hip hop culture and artistry at one of the country’s highest ranked universities. 2012 shocked the world with 2 recipients instead of one on the Soul Train Music Awards. Two $100,000 scholarships were presented in 2013. In 2014, the foundation launched the #EducateOurMen initiative and presented three $50,000 that year and again in 2015. The foundation has presented over $750,000 in scholarships over the past four years.
